I've gained a wide range of experience in Data Analytics and Engineering. My journey started at FORWISS Institut, where I worked on academic projects and created tools for computer vision technologies. I then moved to the startup world with Delivion GmbH, offering an advanced data analytics product and a machine-learning-based anomaly detection system. Joining Capgemini marked a big shift in my career, as I've worked on multinational projects across various sectors. This step not only expanded my business knowledge but also let me focus more on data-centric technologies, fine-tuning my skills to meet client needs. I'm currently leading teams to bring Generative AI solutions into real-world use.

Education

After obtaining my Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics with Highest Honors, I entered a preparatory cycle for engineering studies in Tunis. My focus areas were Mathematical Analysis and Algebra. After completing this two-year cycle, I took and passed the national exam for entry into Tunisian engineering schools, achieving a Top-100 ranking among thousands of competitors. This allowed me to attend the most prestigious ICT engineering school in Tunisia. In 2015, I opted for a double-degree program between Sup'com and the University of Passau. After two years, I earned my Tunisian ICT Engineering Degree and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Passau, with a final grade of 1.6.

  • Generative AI: A productive solution based on OpenAI ChatGPT model
    A screenshot displaying the GenAI app I implemented, which utilizes a productive architecture and a RAG system to add an augmented layer over the foundational knowledge.
  • Road regions detection based on image processing and machine learning' classification models (Advanced driver-assistance systems).
    The Frame is describing the positions of support vectors mapped and located after I have trained an SVM classifier to detect road regions in
    real-time street frames.
  • Learning Sentiment-Specific Word embedding for Twitter Sentiment Classification.
    A Visualisation showing the distribution of word vectors in a lower dimentional 2D feature space using T-SNE and Bokeh after I did use the Deepnl library to embed effectively words based on their spatial but also semantic context.
  • Real time smoke detection based on Texture and color Descriptors (fr : Détection en temps réel de la fumée.

    A frame showing the end results of a computer vision-based smoke detector I developed in Signal and Image Processing Lab Tunisia, which is based on Local Binary Pattern and color descriptors as well as on image processing thresholding rules.


  • Image Compression with deep neural networks (Compressive Autoencoders).
    A survey scientific paper which I have written to discuss the usage of neural networks and specifically deep learning autoencoders as alternatives to most common compression techniques such as JPEG standard, the paper showed that compressive autoencoders are able to surpass JPEG performance in many cases.
  • Elastic Stack
    (1) Build dashboards and advanced log visualizations and extract meaningful information (KPIs, business insights, etc.).

    (2) set up an Elastic Stack-based Platform for Log centralisation from multiple data sources.
  • Cloud Projects
    (1) Cloud Migration of an On-premise HPC Platform using Lift & Shift approach and Azure cloud-native services.

    (2) Benchmark the cost and performance of using GPU acceleration in Data Science projects in Cloud (AWS Sagemaker) and On-premise contexts.
  • DevOps / DataOps
    (1) Roll out a large scale HPC Mapr Cluster into production (Ansible, Docker, Airflow, Dask, Yarn, Elastic Stack, Postgresql, Load balancing & High availability, Networking, Monitoring)

    (2) Re-architecture a fraud detection product to use a microservices- and docker-based approach. Extend the automation process of the deployment and testing of the solution. Enrich CI/CD pipelines. Implement a Performance testing app for the Graph Visualisations Workloads. Create functional and non-functional testing reports of the system.

    (1) Acquired an expertise level in many productivity tools and mainly PyCharm and most Atlassian software

    (2) Worked in multiple Agile projects and took the responsibility in several occasions of the product owner and/or scrum master roles

I am proficient in four languages. Arabic is my native language, and I am bilingual in French.
